PURPOSE:To provide a reversible heat-sensivie recording material which is free from deterioration of a recording layer even if a repetition of formation and removal of an image is performed and enables the formation and erasure of the image in a favorable and fixed contrast. CONSTITUTION:A reversible heat-sensitive recording layer containing mainly a normally-colorless or light-colored electron-donating dye precursor and a reversible developer which causes the d3 precursor to generate a reversible color tone change on the dye precursor through a difference in cooling rates after cooling and a heat-resistant and wear-resistant transparent sheet are laminated in order. Hereby, a reversible heat-sensitive recording material which can form and erase an image in a favorable contrast and has little deterioration on quality of the image even if the formation and erasure of the image are performed repeatedly can be obtained.
