PURPOSE:To provide a granular bone filler and the manufacture thereof which eliminates dispersion in a lost part after filling to cause no harm (danger of infecting or the like) to an organ with excellent fastening property between granular particles. CONSTITUTION:This bone filler comprises a mixture of alpha-calcium phosphate obtained by thermal decomposition under reduced pressure of calcium phosphate with a Ca/P ratio exceeding 1.5 and at most 1.8 and tetracalcium phosphate, or a mixture of alpha-tricalcium phosphate obtained by baking calcium phosphate with the Ca/P ratio exceeding 1.5 and below 1.67 at above 1,000 deg.C and hydroxyapatite, said mixture having a particle diameter of 200-500mum. |
