PURPOSE:To provide a sludge melting system which is inexpensive and easily maintainable and which can effectively utilize the energy of exhaust gas discharged from a melting furnace to prevent eutectic salts from sticking on wall faces of heat exchangers, exhaust gas passages and the like disposed at the rear stage of the melting furnace. CONSTITUTION:A temperature of exhaust gas to be sent to a first heat exchanger 3 disposed at the rear stage of a melting furnace 1 is controlled to a level not exceeding a softening temperature of eutectic salts included in the exhaust gas. Further, a temperature of the exhaust gas to be sent to a second heat exchanger 4 disposed at the rear stage of the first heat exchanger 3 is controlled to a level not exceeding a solidifying temperature of the eutectic salts included in the exhaust gas, thereby preventing the eutectic salts from sticking on wall faces of the heat exchangers, exhaust gas passages and the like. |
