The invention relates to a box, of which the sides are made of an insulating side material. Boxes of insulating material are for example made of a moulded and hardened foamed synthetic material. Such boxes are used for refrigerated transport of perishable goods, e.g. foods. The invention is intended for a box that can be produced simply and that can be used to transport perishable goods. The invention provides a box, the sides of which are made of insulating material, with the characteristic that the side material is made of a flat sheet that comprises one layer of cardboard and on the insides at least one layer of foam material. Such a box can easily be produced from a flat sheet and can be used for thermally insulated transport of chocolate from tropical regions, to transport blood and organs and other perishable goods. In addition this box is shock absorbing and also suitable for fragile goods and/or goods sensitive to jolting. |
