ABSORBENT ARTICLE HAVING LATERAL BARRIERS

An absorbent article is provided having a central longitudinal axis and barrier means positioned on either side of the central axis. The absorbent article further includes an adhesive secured superposed over about 5 % to about 100 % of the bodyfacing surface of the barrier means. The adhesive has a rheological property tan .delta. of less than about 0.01 at a frequency of about 0.1 radians per second and a tan .delta. of less than about 0.1 at a frequency of about 1000 radians per second.
