The derivatives of (2,4-dinitrophenyl)hydrazine with a general formula (I), where R means allo-(or altro)1,2,3,4,5- -penta-O-acetyl-aldehydo-D-ribitol or gulo-(or ido)1,2,3,4,5- -penta-O-acetyl-aldehydo-D-xylitol. It is possible, the above mentioned derivatives to be prepared based on that principle, that acetanhydride is acting to (2,4-dinitrophenyl)hydrazone with a bivalent radical closed to ribitol or xylitol, while a catalyst also is present and this acting is provided at the temperature of 0 up to 35 Celsius degrees, while perchloric acid can be used as a suitable catalyst.
