PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headlamp for an automobile capable of effectively shielding an electromagnetic wave generating from a power cord connecting a lighting circuit to a discharge bulb and from the rear edge part of the discharge lamp in the headlamp for the automobile using the discharge bulb as a light source. SOLUTION: A headlamp fixes a front lens 13 to the front opening part of a container-shaped lamp body 10 to form a lamp chamber S, and a reflector 17 to which a discharge bulb 14 serving as a light source is fit is arranged in the lamp chamber S. An opening part 11 for replacing the bulb is formed in the back wall of the lamp body 10, a conductive cover 31 having an electromagnetic wave shielding function is detachably fixed to the opening part 11, a conductive electromagnetic wave shielding member 50A surrounding the rear edge part of the discharge bulb 14, electrically connected to the conductive cover 31 is arranged within the opening 11 to shield the electromagnetic wave generating in the rear edge part periphery of the discharge bulb 14, and leakage of electromagnetic noise to the outside of the lamp body 10 is prevented. |
