A baseplate (1) has an opening (5) and two tube parts (2,3) central to the opening and concentric to each other. The inner (2) of the tube parts has the same inner diameter as the opening, so that the sleeve can be fitted on a roof using the baseplate. A chimney (9) can be inserted through the spacing of the tube parts and a safety distance to the chimney is defined. The opening for accommodation of a roof inclination represents a through passage corresponding to a desired chimney diameter. The inner tube part and the outer tube part for consideration of the roof structure and inclination have corresponding parallel inclined sections and a corresponding height.
