The body of the binding is on a base, forming a slide (4), and has a plate (9), supporting the boot. The slide moves on a base plate (11) which is joined to the ski by an articulation round a transversal axle at the back of the plate. A block of elastically deformable material (22) under the front end of the slide opposes its rocking. Feet (34, 35) on the front end of the slide are joined to the base plate by a bar (25).
