TEMPORAL IMAGE COMPARISON METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving the display of temporal changes in an imaging system.

SOLUTION: This temporal image processing system 10 includes a temporal processing controller 14 to receive a first image signal and a second image signal from a scanner 16. The temporal processing controller 14 includes a segmentation module 44 which isolates at least one region of interest among at least two images and the segmentation module 44 generates a segmentation signal therefrom. The temporal processing controller 14 also includes a matching module 46 which receives the dividing signal, matches a region of interest, and generates a matching signal therefrom. The temporal processing controller 14 further includes a comparing module 50 which receives the segmentation signal and the matching signal and generates an adaptive comparison signal of both image signals therefrom.
