The locking element (10) yields under inertial in all directions round a full circle from its neutral central setting and consists of disk (10) floating between the two telescoping parts (6,7) of the element. These parts come in can shape whose rims (8,9) grip over one another, and the disk (10) is held by center spring to one of the two parts, using a disk contour smaller than the inside contour of the second hollow cylindrical part (7). The disk (10) is held to the floor (12) of the can shape (6) by a centrally engaging spring stay (11). The return force opposing the inertial load is provided by spring (13), magnets (15) or hydraulic elements. Inertial forces float the disk (10) out into blocking position and a cam (17) entrains the disk with any small movements of the respective part (6,7). One part (6 or 7) has ideal break or bend points (B) in the region of this part abutting the disk (10) in its blocked condition.
