FIELD: medicine, in particular, traumatology and orthopedics. SUBSTANCE: femoral component of endoprosthesis of the hip joint has a head, neck, femoral rod and vertical part with a hemispherical bearing pad, 60 mm long, 30 to 20 mm wide, and 8 mm thick. The shape of the pad repeats the shape of the recess of the intertrochanteric area, which is produced at processing of the femur by a cutter of a similar diameter. The surface of the bearing pad is made structurized, which improves its engagement with the adjoining bone. EFFECT: reduced pressure on bone in vertical area for prophylaxis of instability of the femoral component of the endoprosthesis. 2 dwg
