The bed includes a top part with a rear part (4) fixed between two end sections, a back rest (6) with cushions which is pivotally connected on its bottom side (11) to the top side (10) of the rear part, and which rests against the front sides of the end sections in the sofa position, and a seat part (8) with cushions which is pivotally connected on its inner side (12) to the bottom side (11) of the back rest. The bed also has a bottom part with a frame (15) for supporting any elastic mattress (13) inside it and also for supporting the seat part when in the sofa position. The back rest and seat parts are movable into a vertical position above the rear part in order to convert the sofa into a bed, with the non-upholstered sides of the back rest and seat part being in contact with each other, leaving the entire mattress available for use. |
