PURPOSE: A method for continuously manufacturing high purity TiO2 from low purity TiO2 and a system therefor are provided, which mass-produce and reproduce the high purity granulated TiO2. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: (i) reacting low purity TiO2 being mixed with petroleum cokes with chlorine gas in a reactor at a temperature of 900-950deg.C to produce TiCl4; (ii) passing the resultant of the step (i) through an area keeping a temperature at about 200deg.C to eliminate gaseous impurities from the resultant; and (iii) letting the impurities eliminated resultant of the step (ii) flow in a reactor keeping a temperature at 950-1,000deg.C to react with oxygen gas and cooling the product. The continuous manufacturing system comprises: (i) a chlorination reactor(1); (ii) a furnace(2) which keeps the temperature of the chlorination reactor; (iii) a controller(3) which controls the temperature of the furnace; (iv) a collecting lapis lazuli(4) which collects chlorinated impurities by heating; (v) a heater which is to increase the temperature; (vi) a controller(6) which controls the temperature of the heater; (vii) an oxidizing reacting device(7) which is to react gaseous TiCl4 with oxygen; (viii) a scrubber(9) which is to purify discharge gas; and (ix) a water tank(10) which contains an aqueous solution of NaOH to purify the gas.
