PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily receive the contents of food management and food information by recording the food information on various food purchased by a consumer at a food store, etc., as digital information on a data means of a card-shaped medium. SOLUTION: First, a consumer presents food purchased in a food store and the data means 100 of a card-shaped medium owned by the consumer to an adjustment part. At the adjustment part, the means 100 of the card-shaped medium is inserted into an input device 2 of a food information input system 1 and an adjusting device 5 adjusts the food to be purchased by the consumer. When the adjustment of the purchased food is finished there, the data of the device 5 is basically fetched from a controller 4 to a food data storage device 3, and various information on the purchased food is inputted as digital information to the means 100 of the card-shaped medium inserted into the device 2 from the device 3 through the device 2.
