PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of the closing movements of contacts in a safety relay. SOLUTION: Two contact members 15, 16 are formed at the free end of a contact spring 10. The two contact members 15, 16 are spaced apart laterally with respect to the longitudinal axis of the contact spring 10 and work between contact members provided at a common fixed contact. The contact spring 10 is provided with a region 19, which is not only flexible but also can be twisted fully around the longitudinal axis, enabling the closing movements of both pairs of contacts. The free end of the contact spring 10 supporting the contact members 15, 16 is positioned at an angle with respect to the fixed contact 12 to achieve smooth closing movements of the contacts with little bouncing and at the same time to impart the functions of preliminary and main contacts. |
