The invention relates to a front hood assembly according to which the front hood (1) of a motor vehicle is hinged to the chassis of the motor vehicle via a hinge (4), said front hood (1) being lockable via at least one hood lock (3). The aim of the invention is to provide a protection for pedestrians that is technically feasible and can be implemented at low costs. To this end, the hinge (4) is plastically deformed under the impact of a collision with a pedestrian. |
