PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CRT manufacturing device capable of washing a stepped groove at a panel seal surface satisfactorily and keeping good quality and a yield of the products. SOLUTION: The arrangement according to the present invention includes a panel seal surface 11A equipped internally with a stepped groove 11Aa and a rotary brush 29 which crosses the panel seal surface 11A and whose axis of rotation is at a certain angle inward relative to the surface 11A. Because the surface 11A is brushed with the rotary brush 29, the groove 11Aa can be washed sufficiently. A guide roller 30 is installed symmetrically with the brush 29 about the rotational center of a panel glass 11. The brush 29 and guide roller 30 are moved interlocking and put in copying motions in contacting with the surface 11A and the amount of motion due to copying lessens to establish easy controllability.
