PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cooking utensils such as a lid of a household pan, fryer, or rotary pan for restaurants, which can be used as a fire extinguisher in the case of oil fire or as an underlay for a steaming cage. SOLUTION: There are two fire extinguishing methods. In the first method, the grip 7 of a lid 1 of a main body, from which a small lid 8 is removed, is held in hands to turn it over, and in the case of an oil fire, the lid 8 is put on a pan, a fryer, or a rotary pan 27. Further, in the case of the fryer, a refrigeration oil 50 is filled into an oil can, and an ignition oil 31 of the fryer is fed into the oil can, and the oil 50 is placed on a net 5 to distinguish the fire. If the fire cannot be extinguished, the lid 8 is put on the net 4 to extinguish the fire. In the second method, a lid of double walled construction is put on the pan, fryer, or pot to extinguish the fire.
