PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a face image being typical for a prescribed impression and having reality as a whole face as well as in individual elements by forming the image of a face shape having the prescribed impression and pasting a texture of the face of a real person to the shape of the face. SOLUTION: In creating a face image, the shape of the face is so created as to be a typical face with a prescribed impression. That is to say, characteristic quantities of the face images of a plurality of persons are measured to examine the evaluation axes of the impression, for example, the age cold or young), the distinction of sex (man or woman), and types of lines (straight/ curved lines) and regression formulas of the evaluation values and the characteristic quantities are processed by a statistical analysis program. Texture of the face of a real person is affixed to the shape of the created face, namely, the color distribution of the face including the color, the gloss, etc., of the skin. This process can reflect the texture of a real living body to the face image and provide the face image with high reality having color unevenness, spots, freckles, wrinkles, etc.
