PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice washing unit capable of washing rice without worrying about filthiness and a bad smell of the hands, without injuring the hands and without wetting the hands at rice cooking time. SOLUTION: This rice washing unit is provided with an operation bar 11, a holding board 12 installed on this operation bar 11 and pressing parts 15 formed on an under surface of this holding board 12, and the rice is washed by moving the operation bar 11 while pressing the pressing parts 15 to the rice housed in a vessel together with water.
