The body support for a vehicle is an elongated profile section. A corrugation (5) is formed on one edge (6,13,14,15) of the support, whereby a larger part of the corrugation projects into one of the two adjacent outer surfaces bounded by the edge, and the smaller remaining part of the corrugation projects into the other of the two adjacent outer surfaces (2,3,4,16) bounded by the edge. The body support has at least one pair of corrugations (10,11,12) located on opposite edges of an outer surface.
