<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) resin composition for an optical pick-up slide base, excellent in mechanical strength, adhesion, dimensional stability to change in environmental temperature, and molding processability of a thin-wall part of a molded product, and to provide the optical pick-up slide base molded by using the same. <P>SOLUTION: This resin composition for precision molding of the optical pick-up slide base is given by mixing (b) 0.1-1 pt.wt. of a silane-based compound, (c) 50-150 pts.wt. of glass fiber, and (d) 50-150 pts.wt. of calcium carbonate [provided that, contents of the components (c) and (d) are not more than 200 pts.wt. in total] into (a) 100 pts.wt. of a resin which is formed by mixing 60-90 wt% of a PPS resin with 40-10 wt% of a polyphenylene ether (PPE) resin. Further, the resin composition preferably has such a mixing ratio in weight of the component (c) to the component (d) that the component (c): the component (d) = 1:1 to 1:3.
