<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an output device which executes appropriate output processing when data containing a plurality of pieces of information are transmitted from a mobile terminal or the like. <P>SOLUTION: In a printer which receives vCard data containing personal information data from a cellular phone, a CPU judges vCard from an extension (S220), then searches and counts the number of case number discriminators CS (division identifiers DS) "END" inserted one by one for each of personal information in a vCard file to determine whether the data indicates a single case containing one case of personal information or a full case containing the plurality of cases of personal information (S230). For single-case data, a name-card template is designated on the basis of designation information described in a NOTE region (S240) and for full-case data, a telephone directory layout is designated (S250). In the case of full-case data, each time personal information data for the predetermined number of cases is received, the full-case data are divided (separated) and sent for next processing (S260).
