NEGATIVE ELECTRODE AND BATTERY USING IT

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode which can control decrease of battery volume by restraining shape collapse of the negative electrode active material layer and a side reaction with an electrolyte accompanied with it, and a battery using it.

SOLUTION: The negative electrode comprises a negative electrode current collector 11 and an active material layer 12. The negative electrode active material layer 12 has a first layer 12A that contains Sn, and a second layer 12B that contains an element other than Sn capable of storing and releasing Li electrochemically. The constituting element of the negative electrode current collector 11 is preferably spread in both the first layer 12A and the second layer 12B.
