RADIATION-RESISTANT CROSSLINKED POLYMER COMPOSITION AND RADIATION-RESISTANT POLYMER ARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation-resistant polymer composition leaving moderate residual physical properties after the exposure to radiations.

SOLUTION: The radiation-resistant polymer composition is produced by adding ≥3 pts. wt. of an aromatic carboxylic acid ester as a softening agent to 100 pts. wt. of a polymer component composed of 3-70 pts. wt. of the 1st polymer component composed of one or more components selected from butyl rubber, polyisobutylene rubber, epichlorohydrin rubber and polypropylene and 97-30 pts. wt. of the 2nd polymer component composed of one or more components selected from a polymer containing ethylene unit as main component and chloroprene rubber.
