A keypad assembly in a mobile terminal is provided to insert a guide dummy between the first housing and the second housing so as to prevent exterior damage even though the two housings rotate while facing each other. A keypad assembly, comprising a plurality of key buttons(103) and a pad(104), is installed at a keypad groove formed at the upper surface of the first housing. The pad(104) has a shape corresponding to the keypad groove, and comprises a plurality of connection holes(141). Along the pad(104), a guide dummy(149) is extended. The guide dummy(149) has a regular height. The guide dummy(149) is formed higher than the height of the key buttons(103). When the keypad assembly is installed on the first housing, the end of the guide dummy(149) is protruded from the upper surface of the first housing. Accordingly, when the second housing is folded to the first housing, the guide dummy(149) gets inserted between the housings and the top of the guide dummy(149) contacts with one side of the second housing.
