<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damping structure of a golf iron head capable of increasing the resistance of a head body, improving damping ability, increasing comfortableness at the time of hitting a ball, increasing the strength of the structure of a head and adjusting the centroid of the head further. <P>SOLUTION: The damping structure of the golf iron head is constituted of the head body, a face plate and a damping back plate. On the head body, at least one opening part is formed from a back surface. The face plate is connected to the front face of the head body by an appropriate system. The damping back plate is fixed to the opening part on the back surface of the head body and is formed so as to keep a fixed distance from the face plate. Since the damping back plate can relatively increase the resistance of the head body, the damping ability of the entire golf iron head is effectively improved at the time of hitting the ball. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
