<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize long-term use in an industrial environment and to facilitate assembling in a prescribed place. <P>SOLUTION: The plug casing (10) of a plug connector (11) used for an optical plug assembly (15) for example, is provided with a first joining means (16) by which the plug casing can be joined to a plug connector capsule (7). The first joining means (16) is desirably formed in a separable manner. For the purpose of mutually complementary operation like a snap-in connector for the plug connector capsule (7), the first joining means (16) is provided with engaging elements (24, 24', 24''). In addition, the first joining means (16) is formed so that a rotatable snap-in type lock can be attained.
