<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently detect loop of a distribution path for a subscriber's frame, for example, in a virtual LAN service provided by a provider to a subscriber. <P>SOLUTION: A bridge device is configured to comprise a function for generating a MAC frame, obtained by encapsulating loop detection OAM information including at least a bridge identifier for identifying a self-bridge device and a service VLAN (virtual LAN) identifier, associated beforehand with a subscriber port to transmit the MAC frame from the subscriber port and a function for comparing a bridge identifier and a service VLAN identifier included in MAC frames with the bridge identifier of the self-bridge device and the service LAN identifier, corresponding to the subscriber port to detect the generation of a loop, if both the identifiers match each other, when loop detection OAM information is encapsulated in the MAC frame received by the subscriber port and the MAC frame of a relay frame received by a relay port. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
