<p>A paper making felt for use in hot press or press drying paper making processes comprising a base cloth layer and batt fiber layers, with at least the paper-contacting surface layer of the batt fiber layers composed principally of poly(paraphenylene benzoxazole) fiber. The felt exhibits a high degree of resistance to flattening, and consequently its effectiveness in removing water from the paper and its useful life for that purpose are enhanced.</p> |
