A wheelchair having a height adjustment function is provided to adjust the height of a front end of the wheelchair by elevating auxiliary wheels and to thus help a wheelchair user to pass a hump or a pit in the road more easily. A wheelchair(2) includes a chair frame(4) with main wheels(16) on the side and a castor(12) on a front bottom; a wheelchair pipe(10) extended from the top of the chair frame(4) for securing and supporting a footrest(14), and a height adjusting device(20) for adjusting the height of a front end. The height adjusting device(20) includes a lateral bar(22) inserted into each of the wheelchair pipe(10); a vertical bar vertically welded to the lateral bar(22); an elevation bar housed in the vertical bar; and a height adjustment unit, which is fixed at a lower end of the elevating bar for adjusting elevation of the elevating bar with respect to a wheel assembly(30).
