ROBOT CLEANER SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RETURN TO EXTERNAL CHARGE APPARATUS

A robot cleaner system and a method for returning to an external charge device thereof are provided to contact a connection terminal to the charging terminal precisely by aligning a charging terminal of an external charging device with a recognition display for installing the recognition display at the center of the charging device. A robot cleaner system comprises an external charging device(200), a recognition display(220), a robot cleaner body, a driving unit(120), a charging battery, a connection terminal(160), a receiving unit, a distance sensor(138), a recognition display detecting sensor(134), and a control unit(115). The external charging device is composed of a charging terminal and a transmitting unit. The recognition display is aligned with the charging terminal at the front bottom of the external charging device. The control unit controls the driving unit in case that the receiving unit receives the signal from the transmitting unit so as to move the robot cleaner toward the direction of the external charging device along the recognition display detecting the robot cleaner after moving the robot cleaner toward the direction of the external charging device and be contacted with the connection terminal and the charging terminal.
