A data communication method using PSTN and the Internet and its communication terminal are provided to establish a data communication path between a caller and a callee automatically by using the Internet and send information when a request for data transmission is generated during call communication by using a PSTN. An equipment housing unit(130) houses an audio device, a video device and a data storage device. A network connection unit(110) connects a communication terminal to the Internet. When a data communication function is selected, a communication unit(120) establishes a data communication path with the terminal connected with the Internet through the network connection unit(110), transmits a signal outputted from the equipment housing unit(130) to the terminal or transfers a signal received through the network connection unit(110) to the equipment housing unit(130).
