<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system using a solid light-emitting element as a light source which can substitute a conventional fluorescent lamp and which can be used suitably as various types of lighting device with high illuminance. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting system 1 is provided with a plurality of solid light-emitting elements 22, voltage transforming means 21, 23 which transform AC voltage supplied from the outside into DC voltage to supply to the plurality of solid light-emitting elements, a mounting substrate 24 to mount the plurality of solid light-emitting elements 22, and a protection metal plate 3 to cover the surface on the side on which the solid light-emitting elements 22 are not mounted in the mounting substrate 24. The mounting substrate 24 and the protection metal plate 3 are formed of a metal having thermal conductivity of 200 Wm<SP>-1</SP>K<SP>-1</SP>or more at 0 °C, are arranged to mutually contact, and the total sum of the forward voltage of the plurality of solid light-emitting elements is established to be equal to the DC voltage transformed by the voltage transforming means 21, 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
