<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonwoven fabric in which concave and convex portions and opening are formed and the densities of the concave and convex portions and the like are adjusted so as not to be extremely enhanced, and to provide a method for producing the nonwoven fabric. <P>SOLUTION: A fiber web 100 supported by a prescribed support member 220 from the lower side is blasted with a fluid consisting mainly of a gas from the upper side of the fiber web to move fibers 101 constituting the fiber web 100, thereby forming at least a plurality of openings 3.
