PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external preparation for skin, excellent in a moisture retainability-imparting force in an extent for improving wrinkles. SOLUTION: This external preparation for the skin is characterized by containing (1) amodimethicone and (2) a polyglycerol. The polyglycerol is preferably diglycerol. The external preparation for the skin is preferably in an emulsifier form. It is further preferable that the external preparation for the skin contains an alkyl-modified carboxyvinyl polymer and/or its salt. It is further preferable that the external preparation for the skin contains ubidecarenone and/orα-lipoic acid. The ubidecarenone is preferably contained in the form of vesicle.
