A flexible polyurethane foam is stably produced from raw materials which include a polyol mixture comprising the following polyols (A) and (B) and in which the isocyanate index is 90 or higher and the total amount of zinc and cobalt contained in the polyol mixture is 0.1-200 ppm. The foam thus produced is excellent in flame retardancy, durability, and weatherability despite the nonuse of a flame retardant, changes little in hardness with changing temperature, has excellent air permeability, is reduced in foam shrinkage, and is free from cell unevenness. Polyol (A): a polyether polyol having an average hydroxy group number of 2-3 and a hydroxy value of 10-90 mg-KOH/g obtained by subjecting an alkylene oxide to ring-opening addition polymerization with an initiator using a composite metal cyanide complex catalyst containing zinc and cobalt. Polyol (B): a polyether polyol which has an average hydroxy group number of 2-3 and a hydroxy value of 15-250 mg-KOH/g and which is not a polyether polyol obtained by subjecting an alkylene oxide to ring-opening addition polymerization with an initiator using a composite metal cyanide complex catalyst. ® KIPO & WIPO 2009 |
