<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor for correctly extracting information related with the ruled lines of a table. <P>SOLUTION: A table area is extracted from a document image, and bi-directional edges are calculated in the neighborhood of the boundary of white pixel volumes inside the extracted chart area, and partial ruled line information is acquired based on an edge history calculated from the bi-directional edges, and the ruled line information of the table area is acquired based on the acquired partial ruled line information.
