PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material testing device which can properly perform a tensile test.SOLUTION: A material testing device 100 comprises a first holding part 10, a second holding part 20, and heaters 61,62. The first holding part 10 holds one end 5a of the test piece 5. The second holding part 20 is disposed to face the first holding part 10, and holds the other end 5b of the test piece 5.
