PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve transportability of a printing medium in a printer.SOLUTION: On a head part 3b of an open end of an opening/closing cover 3 in a printer 1, at spots contacted by an un-mounted label continuous body P having an adhesive surface on one surface, projecting parts T projecting from an inner wall surface of the opening/closing cover 3 are disposed. On a third surface S3 positioned in the vicinity of a crossing line of a first surface S1 and a second surface S2 of the head part 3b of the opening/closing cover 3, among the projecting parts T, a third projecting part T3 having projecting length longer than those of a first projecting part T1 of the first surface S1 and a second projecting part T2 of the second surface S2 is disposed. During printing conveyance of the label continuous body P, the label continuous body P fed from a paper storage part 6 is supported by two contact points between a platen roller 10 and the third projecting part T3. Accordingly, frictional resistance of the label continuous body P during conveyance can be decreased so that transportability of the label continuous body P can be improved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
