This card shooter device (4) has: a card guide unit (7) that guides cards (1), which are pulled out one at a time from a card housing unit (5), towards the top of a game table (6); a card reading unit (8) that reads from the cards (1) a code (3) representing a number (quantity, rank) of cards (1) when the cards (1) are pulled out from the card housing unit (5); and a control unit (12) that determines the outcome of a card game on the basis of the quantity of cards (1) read sequentially by the card reading unit (8). The control unit (12) further has the function of detecting abnormalities of shuffled playing cards (1s) and has a memory (13) that records, for a predetermined number of cards, information of the cards (1) read by the card reading unit (8). When an abnormality of the shuffled playing cards (1s) housed in the card housing unit (5) is detected, the abnormality and cards are notified to the pit or management department of a casino via an external output means (100), and furthermore the abnormality is made known by means of a liquid crystal display unit (102) and a card and abnormality lamp (101).
