PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a thick high-strength hot-rolled steel strip capable of suppressing generation of a scratch caused by a spring back on an inner peripheral part, concerning a hot-rolled steel strip obtained as a hot-rolled coil.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a thick high-strength hot-rolled steel strip includes: a hot rolling process for forming a hot-rolled steel strip having a plate thickness of 12 mm or more, and winding the formed hot-rolled steel strip as a hot-rolled coil; and a heat-retaining process for retaining heat in the hot-rolled coil.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
