The golf club shaft includes the surface layer part on a club head side. The golf club shaft includes the flavor component sealed into a micro capsule. The flavor component of the golf club shaft is at least one type selected from a group consisting of terpenes, an ester compound, an aromatic compound, an ether compound, an aldehyde compound, an alcohol compound, a ketone compound, a natural essential oil, a carbon hydride, a lactone compound, and a nitrogen-containing compound.
