PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously treating contaminated water in each section in an integral receptacle and compactly form a purifying apparatus excellent in treatment efficiency.SOLUTION: The apparatus for purifying contaminated water includes an integrated horizontal receptacle having a flow passage region for passing the contaminated water in a circulation direction intersecting the gravity direction inside. The horizontal receptacle: is provided in an upstream region portion out of the flow passage region; has a first reaction section (1) having the contaminated water reacted with a first reactive agent and an aggregation section (2) adjacent on the downstream side of the first reaction section (1) through a first section dam (1D) and for aggregating an object to be removed of the contaminated water from the mixed fluid of the first reactive agent with the contaminated water; is connected with a first supply device (3) for supplying a mixture obtained by mixing the contaminated water with the first reactive agent in the first reaction section (1); and is connected with a second supply device (4) for supplying a second reactive agent for pH control in the aggregation section (2).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
