<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network printing system printing encoded data from a PC even if there is no vacancy in a memory in a network printer storing the encoded data to be recorded. <P>SOLUTION: When there is the vacancy in an image memory 12, the encoded data to be recorded are input in the network printer 1 from the PC 3 via NIC 2 (Netwrok Interface Card) and stored in the image memory 12, the encoded data are decoded in a high-speed codec part 14, and the image data are stored in a page memory 15, transferred to a printer engine part 16 and network printed. When there is no vacancy in the image memory 12, the encoded data from the PC 3 are decoded in a low-speed codec part 25 in the NIC 2, and the decoded image data are fed to the network printer 1, stored in the page memory 15, transferred to the printer engine part 16 and network printed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
