PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate-like material manufacturing device and a plate-like material manufacturing method, capable of smooth manufacturing-related processing, regardless of a contour shape of a plate-like material.SOLUTION: The plate-like material manufacturing device comprises a processing table for holding plate glass G and a grinding wheel 4 for applying end surface finishing to the held plate glass G, and is constituted so that a control part indexes an inclination &thetas; of inclining the actually held plate glass G from an ideal attitude with the rotational center point O as the center on the basis of the rotational center point O determined in an optional position of a surface in the plate glass G virtually held in the ideal attitude and becoming the coordinate origin, a coordinate of a virtual reading point Pdetermined in the optional position in an end surface Ga, a crossing angle &thetas;between a tangent Land the X axis of the end surface Ga in the virtual reading point Pand a coordinate of an actual reading point positioned in an intersection between the end surface Ga and a coordinate axis parallel straight line in the actually held plate glass G, and a tool holding part corrects this indexed inclination &thetas;, and applies the end surface finishing to the plate glass G in a state of correcting the inclination &thetas;. |
