Embodiments of the present invention disclose a signal transmission method. A first correspondence is acquired between both a PSD of transmitted signals of the first communications equipment and a PSD of transmitted signals of a second communications equipment and a signal-to-noise ratio of received signals of the first communications equipment. A second correspondence is acquired between the signal-to-noise ratio of received signals of the first communications equipment and the number of bits for bearing signals. An optimization algorithm is used to calculate a PSD of transmitted signals of the first communications equipment and a PSD of transmitted signals of the second communications equipment. |

1. A signal transmission method, comprising:
acquiring, by a first communications equipment, a first correspondence between both a first power spectral density (PSD) of transmitted signals of the first communications equipment and a first PSD of transmitted signals of a second communications equipment and a signal-to-noise ratio of received signals of the first communications equipment, wherein the signal-to-noise ratio of received signals of the first communications equipment is a ratio of desired signals to noise, wherein the desired signals and the noise are in signals received by the first communications equipment; acquiring a second correspondence between the signal-to-noise ratio of received signals of the first communications equipment and a number of bits for bearing signals; using an optimization algorithm to calculate according to the first correspondence and the second correspondence, a second PSD of transmitted signals of the first communications equipment and a second PSD of transmitted signals of the second communications equipment, wherein the first PSDs and the second PSDs are PSDs when a rate of transmission on a line from the first communications equipment to the second communications equipment is maximum; and transmitting signals according to the second PSDs of transmitted signals of the first communications equipment. |
