The present invention relates to a tip body (3) and an applicator including the tip body (3) which feed a sufficient amount of application liquid and coat over a wide range, and a method for making the same. The tip body (3) includes a tip main body (1) having a hole (1c) opened toward the back end, and reserver (2) contained in the hole (1c) and having a percentage of voids of 80% to 90%, the tip main body (1) being composed of a porous body having a percentage of voids 75% to 85% and being made by sintering an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene powder or a mixture of an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene powder and a high molecular weight polyethylene powder.
