摘要 A method controlling wireless communication of a data block from a terminal device to a base station includes: making a first uplink data transmission for the data block in association with a first retransmission protocol process and obtaining a corresponding first acknowledgement indication indicating whether the data block has been successfully communicated to the base station; making a second uplink data transmission for the data block in association with a second retransmission protocol process and obtaining a corresponding second acknowledgement indication, the second transmission initiated before the first acknowledgement indication is obtained; determining whether to avoid scheduling a data retransmission in association with the first retransmission protocol process based on the first and second response signallings, avoiding retransmission of data in association with the first retransmission protocol process if either one of the first or second acknowledgement indication indicates the data block has been successfully communicated to the base station.

A method of communication, comprising: transmitting, by circuitry of a terminal device to a base station in a wireless communications system supporting multiple parallel retransmission protocol processes, a first transmission of a data block in a first transport block according to a first retransmission protocol process; receiving a first response signaling that indicates whether the first transmission of the data block has been successfully communicated to the base station; transmitting, by the circuitry before the first response is received, a second transmission of the data block in the first transport block according to a second retransmission protocol process; receiving a second response signaling that indicates whether the second transmission of the data block has been successfully communicated to the base station; and determining, by the circuitry, to retransmit the data block in the first transport block according to the first retransmission protocol process based on both the first response signaling and the second response signaling, wherein transmitting the first transmission of the data block in the first transport block, the second transmission of the data block in the first transport block and a retransmission of the data block in the first transport block each comprise transmitting, by the circuitry at a series of transmission time intervals (TTIs), a plurality of redundancy versions (RVs) of data of the data block.
